Perhaps not the title defining clashes they once were, there is always the prospect of an exciting game when Manchester United play Arsenal. A game neither side likes to lose, Arsenal are as vulnerable as they are likely to get, but like they showed against Liverpool last week, they are still capable of putting on a strong performance.
Manchester United however have made a flying start to the season, already defeating the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham, but another win against another big opponent in what is a really tough start to the season would really lay down the marker for United’s title rivals.
For those of you who have the privelege of late starts on Monday, or simply don’t give a damn, there will be United fans watching the match together both in Melbourne and Brisbane at events that we know about. Details for these two locations are below but if you know of anywhere else that fans are congregating, please get in touch so that we can help get the word out.
Melbourne
Charles Dickens Tavern
290 Collins Street, Melbourne
Brisbane
The Brisbane Manchester United Supporters Club will be watching the game, as usual, at:
The Pig ‘n’ Whistle
123 Eagle Street, Brisbane
Kick off is at 1am EST, Monday morning, meaning the game ought to finish at around 3am. One of the problems some fans are having in terms of attending games is getting to and from the pubs. To help to counter this problem, we ask all of you who are thinking of coming to leave a comment at the end of this post simply stating what area of Melbourne/Brisbane you are travelling from and whether you are driving yourself or catching a cab. It’s a great way to meet fellow match going Reds, and could potentially make your life a whole lot easier when it comes to watching these late games with other United fans.
Hope to see as many of you as possible on the night!
